Clinical Program Coordinator - Parks Francis and Medical District

POSITION TITLE: Clinical Program Coordinator STATUS: Exempt, FT GRADE: 4

DEPT: Safety & Wellness PROGRAM: SVSS Clinical Program

REPORTS TO: Clinical Program Associate Director SALARY: $60,000/yr

SUPERVISES: Provides Clinical Supervision to Therapists & Interns

SUMMARY: Providing crisis intervention, short-term or long-term therapy and group counseling for children, adolescents and adult survivors of sexual abuse/assault and their non-offending family members. Provide administrative and reflective supervision to SVSS Clinical staff and interns. Maintain client caseload


COLLABORATES WITH: Collaborates with other SVSS Clinical staff members and YWCA SVSS program staff members across all locations; Community Partners (e.g. Colleges & Universities); Interns; Volunteers; and other YWCA staff members.


ESSENTIAL responsibilities:

Supervisory Responsibility: Using a Reflective Supervision Model, supervises therapists and interns providing counseling services to child, adolescent and adult survivors of sexual abuse/assault and their non-offending family members. Ensures the maintenance of a secure, accessible system of confidential client records in compliance with ICASA and other applicable standards of practice, state and federal laws, and YWCA requirements. Supports Associate Director in facilitating team meetings and activities to promote team cohesion.

Direct Service: Provide individual, family, couple and group counseling to child, adolescent, and adult survivors of sexual abuse/assault and their non-offending family members. Services are located via teletherapy, in-office, and school-based. Deliver telephone and in-person crisis intervention, information, and referrals as needed. Monitor member intake and caseload, conducting individual and group intake screening when appropriate. Furnish advocacy referrals for members to legal, medical, & social services systems as needed.

Member Data Management: Maintain comprehensive member records as required. Maintain all data entry and statistical records for multiple funding sources regarding counseling services performed. Maintain member confidentiality as required by law and funding sources.

Record Keeping & Reporting: Assist in the maintenance of confidential client files, conduct file reviews, case reviews. Provide program reports based on ICASA funding requirements and assist in development of related documentation to use for program evaluations.

Professional Development & Clinical Knowledge: Complete the ICASA 40-hour Sexual Assault Crisis Intervention training upon hire. Complete other continuing education and training set by agency/funders. Participate in and complete other trainings, as required, to maintain clinical licensure and as required by funders. Attend and collaborate with other therapists in clinical team meetings and regularly participate in group consultations. Participate in regular reflective supervision meetings as required.

Assistance to Associate Director, Clinical Program: Support and assist the Associate Director, Clinical Program in the development and coordination of internship programs, school-based services, provision of reflective supervision, and program development.


NON-ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Facilitate and participate in training and for agencies and coalitions providing related services. Assist with planning special programs and events.


OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED: Other duties outside of the responsibilities of the position may be assigned, whether for a project, special needs task or other assignments, including planning and supporting Mental Health Awareness Month Activities, Take Back the Night, etc.


QUALIFICATIONS:

A minimum of three to five years of counseling experience is required; prior supervisory experience preferred, but not required. Familiarity with reflective supervision model preferred. Prior experience providing clinical services with a focus on sexual assault, incest, domestic violence or interpersonal violence is required. Ability to work collaboratively or independently, depending on the situations. Effective oral and written communication skills. Sound decision-making skills in emergency situations. Skill in public speaking. Ability to collaborate with other program/YWCA clients, staff, and community stakeholders. Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills. Knowledge of the local geographic service area and community resources is desirable. Basic skill level in MS Outlook, MS Office suite of Word, PowerPoint and Excel.

Professional Training Required: 40-hour certification in Sexual Assault Crisis Intervention training (or the ability to complete this initially upon hire)


EDUCATION REQUIRED: Master’s degree- MA, MSW, etc. from an accredited college or university.


CERTIFICATION(s) REQUIRED: Licensure as an LCSW or LCPC is required to meet clinical staff and intern supervision responsibilities. LCSW preferred.


WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment includes offices; members and visitors may visit with children. The noise level is usually moderate. Movement requirements include walking, stooping or kneeling. There may be a need to reach, lift or move objects, such as packages, supplies and computers. Normal (or corrected) vision range; ability to see color and to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols are necessary to the work, which may require close viewing. Occasionally may need to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Communication needs include seeing, hearing and speaking. While in the office, there will be periods of sitting, holding a telephone and using computers. Reasonable accommodations will be made for an incumbent to meet the essential responsibilities of the position.

WORK SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday and some evenings/Saturdays required. Schedule can vary depending on the needs of the agency.
